About Us
One Year, One You, One Planet was a team effort from the beginning. Despite living at opposite ends of Aotearoa, Susan and Rose were connected through change initiatives as part of the environmental charity Terra Nova Foundation. Both are big advocates for living in synchronicity with Earth, and passionate about empowering other people to take positive action through connections to ourselves, each other, and nature. They both wanted to share impactful actions that truly make a difference, remove barriers for people to get involved, and help everyone understand how truly meaningful individual and collective actions can literally change the world. Over a cup of tea, they discussed how they could bring the idea to life, and One Year, One You, One Planet was born.

They launched a PledgeMe Campaign to fund the book's initial production – and a group of generous and supportive humans around the world chipped in with their support. This funding allowed them to invite well-known illustrator Laura Bee to illustrate the project, who said, 'Wow yes, I'm in!' – and so the book was underway.

Rose and Susan's actions come to life on the page with Laura's skilled and detail illustrations. Each action is a result of decades of personal experience and testing, along with meticulous current research that drills down to create impact and momentum where it counts. We hope you join in with them, and begin your own positive journey of change.
